Soft, chewy, chocolate-loaded goodness in every bite. This is the cookie that never goes out of style.
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Optional: Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
Cream butter and sugars in a bowl until light and fluffy (2–3 min).
Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to the wet mixture until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
(Optional) Chill dough for 1 hour for thicker cookies.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
Scoop dough (1 tbsp or medium cookie scoop), place 2 inches apart. Top with flaky salt if desired.
Bake for 9–11 minutes or until golden at the edges but soft in the center.
Cool on pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
