Description

Soft, chewy, chocolate-loaded goodness in every bite. This is the cookie that never goes out of style.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Optional: Flaky sea salt for topping


Instructions

  • Cream butter and sugars in a bowl until light and fluffy (2–3 min).

  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to the wet mixture until just combined.

  • Fold in chocolate chips.

  • (Optional) Chill dough for 1 hour for thicker cookies.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.

  • Scoop dough (1 tbsp or medium cookie scoop), place 2 inches apart. Top with flaky salt if desired.

  • Bake for 9–11 minutes or until golden at the edges but soft in the center.

  • Cool on pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes
